tegan and I both personalized prints from American artist Shepard Fairey (creator of Obey and the iconic Obama Hope image) to help raise money for the FAIR organization and awareness for marriage equality!
tegan created a collage of a map of the US with the statement “UNITE THE STATES” to show her desire for a country standing in solidarity for equality and human rights for all.
on my print, i added a portion of an incredibly inspiring address that Paul Martin, our Prime Minister at the time, made while our government was passing the Civil Marriage Act, which protects our rights for same sex marriage in Canada.
