At first, I tried to make a video blog for this week’s dispatch. But then I realized I had nothing much to dispatch. This week blended into the last. My fingernails are filled with dirt from fussing over my plants and herbs, I’m waiting for this week’s New Yorker to arrive, and I might have a tuna melt for lunch.
So here instead, are half a dozen links to things I think are great. I hope you will enjoy clicking on them.
Sometimes, when I have a lot of time off I start searching for things on the Internet that inspired me in the 1990’s. I assume that everything is available on the “web”, so when I realize that it often isn’t, I feel ripped off. Then I go back to sneering at my computer, and the Internet in general. I wanted so badly to share a video I remember seeing as a kid of Bruce Springsteen performing at a stadium in Los Angeles, but I couldn’t find it. So I’ve attached a link below of a haunting black and white version of THUNDER ROAD. It’s the opposite of the performance I imagine in my brain but it is just as good, just very different.
