friends!

Having such a lovely time on this tour in the USA. It feels strange to think that I was bundled up in my parka and winter boots less than a week ago in DC. Especially as I sit here in Atlanta nursing the awful sunburn I got in Boca Raton yesterday. The miracle of touring!

I started having a panic attack last night thinking about the inevitable END of this tour. I attribute much of this premature anxiety to my ever growing affection for STEEL TRAIN and HOLLY MIRANDA. A tour can be defined by the company you keep during the long days before and after shows and we’ve truly lucked out because every single member of both bands are sweet hearts. I look forward to their sets each night, and have so enjoyed the summer camp atmosphere back stage!

Check out Holly Miranda’s amazing coverage in the new york times! So proud proud proud!!!!! http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/21/arts/music/21miranda.html?ref=music

The crowds have been terrific at every show, and I’d like to specifically thank the folks in Richmond, VA and Boca Raton for their ENTHUSIASM. I have a flow chart of sorts that is always projecting on the inside of my brain that ranks each show and crowd. Last night, Boca Raton, became a front runner after the SECOND leopard print bra landed on stage. Its one thing to get a bra, its really something all together different to receive TWO animal print bras during one set. Seriously, thank you fans of Florida! Both shows were such a treat.

One last link: I’ve FINALLY committed to a book club of sorts. I promise to keep sending updates if the kind folks at teganandsara.org don’t let me fall off the commitment train. http://forum.teganandsara.org/topic.php?id=18
